Here is a cute video of Clareese singing a made up song to Destry. What she is singing is Destry's name according to an email that we received. It was an excerpt from a children's book, Captain Underpants And the Perilous Plot Professor Poopypants, by Dave Pilkey, in which the evil Professor forces everyone to assume new names. Destry's new name is Snooty Pottydunkin. Clareese's name is Snickle Pottydunkin. We sure did have fun with that email.

Sunday, March 2nd was a big day for the girls. It was Destry's baptism and the affirmation of Clareese's baptism. Clareese wanted to be up there with her little sister.

Scott and I were on pins and needles when the time came. We thought for sure Destry would scream and cry. She had not had her morning nap. There was too much at the church to distract her. But she surprised us and was perfect. (She let it out at brunch afterwards.) Clareese did a wonderful job too. She looked so pretty in her dress.

This winter has been long, cold and snowy. To get us through, our favorite activities are sledding and ice skating. Clareese received a new pair of ice skates for Christmas. Single blades! This is her third year skating but first on single blades. She did very good her first time out. I was very proud of her. I'm glad to say that I have not fallen yet. (I probably just jinxed myself!)

I've added video of Clareese's first time when we went on 12-30-07. I've also added video from 1-27-08 with Scott and I included in the videos.
